Hi there.

I'm Deedi. When I find or learn things that make my life better, I share them. I also read books—literally all the time, whenever I can—and tell people what I thought.

Let's be friends!

How to New Books for $15 with Book of the Month

Affordable hardcover books for new and trending titles

If you love to read and haven’t heard of Book of the Month, I’m about to change your life. If you don’t read as often but would like to start, this will be great for you too.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a person in possession of a love of reading must be in want of more books. In fact, here are some actual photos of me:

As a member of the bookstagram community, I’d heard of BOTM. I’d heard, and I’d resisted, because I knew that it was dangerous territory for my budget. But then they got me with a “first month free” offer paired with a title I really wanted to read, and the war was lost.

Best surrender ever.

How does BOTM work?

For $15/month, you get one new hardcover every month. They have a panel of judges who choose the month’s five available titles and write short articles about what makes them so great. There's usually a mix of hotly anticipated titles, exclusive early releases, and debut authors.

At the beginning of each month, you log in and choose which book you’d like to receive. Or you can choose to skip a month if it’s not in the budget. You can also choose to add additional books, either from the current month’s selection or that of previous months, for only $10. (!!!) I need not tell you that this is an excellent price for a new hardcover.

The books come pretty quickly after you finalize your box, and a BOTM bookmark like the one shown above is always included (yay, bookmarks!). The books have special BOTM branding with a logo on the spine and front of the dust jacket. The logo is also embossed onto the front of the book’s actual binding along with the month and year in which the title was featured. This makes for a fun little collection on my bookshelf!

How do I sign up?

If you use my referral link below, we both get a free month!

As always, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or want to chat.
